If you have been looking for something to connect your MacBook Air to your old LED Cinema Display, this is the product for you!
I purchased 4 different dongles, and none of the dongles I purchased worked. Apparently, there is difficulty in the USB-C chipset to properly convert video through a Mini Display Port. For all of the dongles I purchased, I couldn’t get a maximum resolution of 1200×700. I did a workaround for a few days using an HDMI to Mini Display Port, but even with that fix the LED Cinema Display would not wake up when I would wake up the MacBook Air (I like to use both monitors together). In any case, everything apparently is working perfectly! I even purchased a Magsafe to USB-C connector to get all of the utility out of the monitor. So thankful I finally got what I needed!
